AMDS is now Pro Sound & Video

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Advanced Media Design Systems by Pro Sound & Video as of July 1, 2010.

Headquartered in Miami, FL, Pro Sound and Video is a privately held, audio, video, broadcast integration company with substantial design, engineering, and project management skills along with a first-rate service support structure. The company provides services to sports facilities, convention centers, hotels, nightclubs, theaters, meeting facilities, houses of worship, courtrooms, corporate boardrooms, schools, hospitals, universities and government facilities among others. Pro Sound is licensed in over 20 states and executes business in several countries including the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Central and South America. In addition to the Miami headquarters, Pro Sound & Video has strategic offices in Orlando and a Los Angeles affiliate.

This acquisition of AMDS will enable Pro Sound to position itself for increased presence and customer service in the Southeast United States.

Advanced Media Design Systems Awarded Audio Visual Contract of Joint Strike Force Ops at Eglin Air Force Base

Advanced Media Design Systems (AMDS) was recently awarded the audio visual (AV) component of the Joint Strike Fighter Air Force/Navy/Marine Squad Ops located on Eglin Air Force Base, FL. The training facility is expected to instruct over 500 F-35 pilots a year from the Air Force, Navy, Marines and at least eight other countries. AMDS will be renovating a hanger including over 45 rooms with new AV control systems and equipment. The rooms to be renovated will include Main Briefing, Small and Large Pilot Briefing Rooms, Conference Rooms, Operation and Scheduling, Life Support Maintenance and Locker Rooms, Security and several small offices. All of the audio visual equipment in these rooms will be controlled locally at the touch of a button. Large plasma displays, Digital DSP and multiple HD Projectors with local PC/DVD-VCR and RF inputs located in each room are planned for convenience. AMDS worked closely with both the US Army Corp of Engineers and Henderson Electrical Company in order to define the audio, video and control side of the systems. The Joint Strike Fighter School is expected to have a completion date of early October 2010.
